I rewrote the build scripts for CvF in Make. No real reason why I
just did it. It compiles for macOS and HTML5, I will test more
platforms! (04/04/2026)
It would be a shame if Haiku introduced age verification. It's
such a good operating system. (03/04/2026)
I was looking to play some old Android games. They were still
using the armeabi-v7a/32-bit ARM architecture and have not been
updated for years, many of them delisted from the play store a
long time ago. As I only own an iOS mobile device, I cannot play
them there. This means I had to use an emulator :) My first
intuition was to use BlueStacks, but 1. the Mac version only
supports some modern 64-bit architectures and 2. I did not want to
install Microslop's devilish OS on my hardware (I single-boot Arch
on a spare laptop). I did not know that Waydroid would be a viable
option, so I wasted a few hours setting up Windows VMs, but the
graphics acceleration was subpar. At one point, I decided to
research Waydroid some more and found out that you can use the
waydroid-helper tool to install libhoudini (a translation layer
adding ARM support) for it. At this point I was able to enjoy my
games. I made some adjustments afterwards, but it all worked.
